Background

Setup

This game uses Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition. Each player character will start as a Nazgûl using the stats below. You can customize this a little so that each character is different. Please keep to the theme, though. No, you cannot be the Witch-King of Angmar. That's a different Nazgûl that you might meet.

You can come up with a backstory, but it doesn't matter much. Since your character got a Ring of Power, they've forgotten their past lives. So, your backstory might not even come up.

Story

The first adventure starts at the beginning of the Fellowship of the Ring. The party is travelling west to find the One Ring. They have a rough idea where it is and that a hobbit may have it. That's where it ends. Things won't necessarily go according to the plot of Lord of the Rings. The Eagles might show up like we always wanted. Count Dooku - I MEAN Saruman the White might show up earlier than expected. Your characters' actions will affect the plot; moreover, those actions will BE the plot.

First Quest

Sauron hungers. He also wants the One Ring back. While he's off looking for food, he's tasked you with finding his prize.

As you ride down the road, you can still hear his voice booming in your soul: "Bring me the One Ring."
